Important for Annual Plan Sellers
If you're on an annual plan, you have 14 days from the date of purchase to cancel and receive a refund. After that, you're committed for the full year — even if you downgrade.
We recommend reviewing your plan and needs carefully within this window.
You have the flexibility to change your plan at any time during your subscription. Upgrading or switching from a monthly to annual billing cycle takes effect immediately. Downgrading or canceling usually takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle. If a payment is past due, it takes effect right away.
When you downgrade to the free Gold plan, your shop switches to the free Cosmos template, any edited template code is reset, custom pages are deleted, and your custom domain is removed. If you have more products than the Gold plan allows, your shop goes into maintenance mode until you remove the extras. Upgrading again won't bring these back, but you can restore an earlier version of your template, including its pages, from Backups in Shop Designer.
Card declined, and not sure why? Your best bet will be to get in touch with your card issuer or bank to see if they've flagged the payment on their end, and ask them to let it through. If that doesn't do the trick we recommend trying a different payment method.
Steps
- Log in at app.bigcartel.com.
- Open the Account menu in the bottom left corner and choosePlan & billing, then click Change plan.
- Select Upgrade or Downgrade button on the plan you want to use, follow the prompted steps, and you're set!
